FANS FOLLOW DEFEAT ONLINE, CAPITANES OVER RAINMEN 108-101 BACK HOME
The first place Puerto Rico Capitanes managed to run their undefeated streak to 7-0 Thursday night, but not before they got a scare from the gritty Halifax Rainmen.

The Rainmen led for a while in the final quarter before the Capitanes rallied late to keep their undefeated streak intact.
A Halifax win would have lifted the Rainmen into a tie with the Capitanes Premier Basketball League standings, but instead the Rainmen fall to 5-2 on the season.

Jevohn Shepherd paced the Rainmen attack with 24 points, while Adris DeLeon chipped in for 20 points.

While not being able to cheer on their Rainmen in person, the team has developed a loyal following of fans.  Rainmen fans kept up with the game through live feeds from both the Rainmen game results and the Capitanes’ webcast.  The Capitanes' site featured a live chat section for Spanish and English fans to cheer on their teams. Rainmen fans also posted periodic updates on the game on Facebook and Twitter.
Rainmen fans will have to wait until Feb. 26 for their chance for revenge against the Capitanes, when the Rainmen play host to the Puerto Ricans on their home turf at the Metro Centre.

Next up, the Rainmen return home from their two-game road trip to take on the defending league champs, the Rochester Razorsharks. The Razorsharks are also undefeated at 6-0 after win in Maryland last night, 138-113, over the Greenhawks.
Game time at the Metro Centre Sunday again the Razorsharks is 2 p.m.
